Horned Lark

Eremophila alpestris

A rare fall vagrant, this species is best looked for during the month of September, though the extant records do not leave a strong sense of when is exactly best during the fall period.

Records of this species include both the American-breeding (arcticola) and Asian-breeding (flava) subspecies, with the Asian birds being more likely than American birds based on previous records.
