As of November 28, 2025, Aleutian Airways has officially been awarded the Essential Air Service (EAS) contract to provide regularly scheduled commercial flights from Anchorage to St. Paul Island! The four-year contract is set to begin on January 5, 2026. Aleutian Airways proposed three times weekly flights with a 30-seat Saab 2000 aircraft on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. When we have more information regarding a finalized flight schedule and ticket availability we will be sure to share it here.
Presently, in addition to chartered flights, travelers can also book with Aleutian Airways to Dutch Harbor and connect from there to St. Paul with one of three or four weekly flights operated by Grant Aviation. Grant Aviation operates a Beechcraft Super King Air 200 on this route, a single pilot, twin-turboprop aircraft seating 8 passengers without a lavatory. Please note that an overnight in Dutch Harbor is usually required when using this routing.
We are happy to answer any questions you might have or help you with group travel planning and coordination.

PLANNING YOUR TRIP – NEW AIR SERVICE TO ST PAUL ISLAND PENDING FOR 2026

Please note: We recommend that you arrive in Anchorage one day prior to your scheduled departure and allow a minimum two days on your return to Anchorage to make any connecting flights. Weather conditions can be difficult for commercial aviation and may result in an overnight delay for your return given the limited flight schedule. It is much easier to have a buffer built into your itinerary rather than be forced to change plans last second when lodging and flight availability can be extremely limited or even nonexistent during the summer tourism season in Alaska. We also highly recommend travel insurance for all of our visitors, which can help recover all additional costs in delays.
