Reindeer are a domesticated variation of caribou. In Alaska, they are farmed for meat, and reindeer sausage can be found in just about every grocery store in the state.

St. Paul Island has a fairly large herd of reindeer that freely roam the island. They were originally introduced in 1911 from Russian stock and as of 2023 the herd is currently estimated at 800 animals.
