Visit Anchorage

Coast Hotel Anchorage

Planning a visit to Anchorage? It’s pretty hard to avoid on any trip to Alaska! Stay with our partner in travel, the Coast Inn at Lake Hood – your gateway to adventure and fun.

While traveling to or from St. Paul Island, our guests often choose to stay in the state’s largest city for a day or two. Anchorage offers access to a wide variety of activities, including hiking, wildlife viewing, shopping and fishing.

We recommend booking your stay at our hotel, Coast Inn at Lake Hood, conveniently located at the famous Lake Hood and near the airport and downtown. Don’t forget to ask for the special St. Paul Island Tour rate when you call!

We’ll pick you up at the airport and take you back again when you leave. Rooms are modern, newly renovated and very comfortable, from master suites to apartment-style with separate bedrooms.

At the hotel, we’ll offer you everything from bicycle rentals for exploring Lake Hood and Point Woronzof, float and fly adventures, to the best of Alaska wilderness and sightseeing. The Alaska Aviation Museum is also a convenient shuttle ride away and tickets are offered right at our front desk.

Located at the hotel, Pipers Restaurant & Sports Lounge is an Anchorage legend and one of the best spots in town for a cozy, relaxed place to grab a burger and watch the game. Or you can sit outside on the lakefront deck and watch floatplanes take off from beautiful Lake Hood.

The Coast Inn at Lake Hood is an oasis of peace and relaxation, the perfect place to rest up from your flight – then get out and enjoy gorgeous Southcentral Alaska. It’s owned by the Unangan people of St. Paul Island, the same folks who operate St. Paul Island Tour, so you know you’ll be in good hands and supporting the island’s economy.
