One of the rarer species of American waterfowl that is regularly seen in the Pribilofs, this species is found every other year on average in recent years. Most sightings occur during May with the majority of sightings between the 15th and 20th of that month. The species is seen sporadically later into the spring and early summer with two late fall records.
