A rare spring vagrant, which has a number of recent fall records in the Pribilofs, this species is best looked for during spring in late May or early June along with many other similarly occurring species of Asian passerines. The recent fall records all come from the final week of September through mid-October, which falls in line with most/all other records of Old World Buntings in the fall on St. Paul Island and is likely the best time to search for this species locally.
