Common Ringed Plover

Charadrius hiaticula

There are only about 10 Pribilof records of this species, with all records during fall migration in August and September. It has been encountered almost annually in recent years. Like most other shorebird species in the Pribilofs, this species is best looked for during fall migration in late August and early September. Identification from the next species can be difficult and should be done carefully.
