A rare, though annual, vagrant to Alaska, this species was an unexpected find in the Pribilofs (St. Paul Island) providing the first record for western Alaska. This species has appeared at all times in the state, though other fall records suggest this species would be most likely to occur during September or October in the future, but repeat records may be unlikely.
