Only recorded on three islands in North America (two records on St. Paul, two on Attu, and one on St. Lawrence), this species is an extremely rare vagrant to western Alaska with four records from the spring and one in the fall. Most of the spring records come from the beginning of June (the one record from St. Lawrence Island occurred in mid-late June), while the single fall record from early September is similar to the occurrence pattern shown by the Bluethroat (Luscinia svecica), which would be a reasonable pattern for this species.
