Baird’s Sandpiper

Calidris bairdii

A rare but regular late summer and fall migrant, this species has been found only once during the spring in the Pribilofs, with the earliest fall records being southbound adults in mid-July. This species is most regularly found during the month of August with a peak between the 10th and 20th of that month. There are only a scattering of records from early September with just a couple records after the 10th.
