This is the rarest Tringa found in the Bering Sea region with 3 from St. Paul Island and fewer than 10 records for Alaska. Most records from Alaska occurred in fall in the Aleutians during September, with the Pribilof records being from before this period, as well as representing the latest record in the region (early October). The single spring record falls within the standard peak of shorebird migration at that season, though this species was previously unreported during this season in the region.
