This species appears to fit the same profile as Sooty Shearwater (Puffinus griseus), with very few known records in the Pribilofs though it is likely a regular pelagic wanderer during the summer months along the continental shelf breaks to the south and west of the islands. The only known sightings of this species are two records from land in early October and offshore sightings in July and August.
