Cape May Warbler

Setophaga tigrina

A vagrant to the state of Alaska, this species was first sighted in the Bering Sea region on St. Paul Island during mid-September in 2011. The following year there was a record on St. Lawrence Island at the same time frame and these remain the only two records for the region. Most records of this species from the state are in September or early October and this would probably be the best time to expect any future records, as unlikely as they may be.
