Northern Flicker

Colaptes auratus

A single early spring record notwithstanding, this species is a fall vagrant to the Pribilofs with semi-regular records when coverage has extended into September and October. The only truly migrant woodpecker and the most likely species of that family to appear in the islands, this species is best looked for at the very end of September or early October.
