Middendorff’s Grasshopper-Warbler

The two records of this species (both from St. Paul Island) are from wildly different periods of the year, and with this species’ well known ability to remain hidden, further records are likely to be more a matter of luck than skill. The only records are one from mid-summer of a bird found singing in a wetland, and another in fall from mid-September, which is likely the best time to find this species in the future.
